alison lumley

Alison Lumley a highly trained South Surrey Acupuncturist with a special focus in Women’s Health, Acupuncture for Fertility and Cosmetic Acupuncture.

Alison began her acupuncture training in 2002 at the academy of Oriental Medicine in Austin, Texas (AOMA). She was led to the field after having experienced, on her own path to healing, the holistic approach of a homeopathic doctor. The belief that the body has its own innate ability to heal itself, resonated with her, and it also happens to be one of the foundational beliefs of Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM).

Another tenet from TCM that she easily espoused is the theory that often, if not always, the mind/spirit is implicated in physical illness. It is said that the advanced TCM practitioner treats the spirit first and the physical body next.

Alison has spent five years of her acupuncture career (four years at the Texas center for Reproductive Acupuncture in Austin and one year at Yinstill Reproductive Wellness in Vancouver) helping men and women with fertility issues. She is a licensed acupuncturist and herbalist in t he United States (NCCAOM) and a registered acupuncturist in Canada (CTCMA).

A fierce dedication and discipline was instilled in her early on in her years as a ballerina, and that dedication and discipline has bled into all other areas of her life. She continues to dance today (many styles) and is also a singer/songwriter, plays guitar and ukulele, and just recently, the piano.

Jared Ng

Registered Massage Therapist

Jared Ng is a South Surrey RMT who graduated from the West Coast College of Massage Therapy in 2013. His interest in Massage Therapy began nearly ten years ago when he discovered its healing benefits after suffering an injury while at work.

Jared has a passion for helping patients who are in discomfort from the rigors of their day to day life, whether it be work, hobby, or posture related. He provides support to his patients to help speed the return of optimal function through manual therapy and patient education. Jared strives to move his patients from corrective work to preventative and maintenance treatments.

Jared believes in a holistic approach to health and the importance of education as part of a wellness plan to provide long-lasting benefits. He knows that massage treatments and a great home-care plan will support healing and help to bring the body back to full functioning!

Hilda Wan

Hilda Wan is very passionate about integrative medical approaches. She believes the best way to ‘live well’ is to manage, prevent and rehabilitate through multidisciplinary therapy based on individual goals and needs. Feeling extremely fortunate to be able to share her knowledge, energy and passion with her patients to achieve their health goals. Hilda treasures the professional long-term relationship with her patients through massage.

Chronic pain and stress are normally the culprits of serious medical problems. Hilda’s treatment goals are patient-oriented, with emphasis on prevention. Treatment focuses on reconnecting your mind and body in order to enhance your innate ability to decrease pain and stress. Incorporating diaphragmatic breathing and lymphatic stroking into treatments to facilitate circulation. Homecare and exercise suggestions are an important part of her care.

Hilda is currently in the last term of the massage therapy program and working towards becoming a Registered Massage Therapist (completion Fall 2022).

Jessica Jillings

Meet Jessica!

Jessica has always worked in people-oriented positions over the years, and loves being part of the team at South Surrey Chiropractic and Wellness (SSCW).  Jessica really appreciates the friendly atmosphere and personal feel of SSCW. Previous to joining the SSCW team, Jessica was a long-time patient of Dr. Navi’s. Having been on both “sides of the desk”, she has an even greater appreciation for the chiropractic and wellness clinic. Jessica has always valued the clinic’s integrative and holistic approach to health and she now enjoys getting to know patients and working alongside her lovely colleagues.

Jessica is very creative, and she’s always looking for new ways in which to channel this passion. She completed an intensive digital photography program at the Centre for Arts and Technology in Kelowna, and works occasionally as a freelance photographer. She feels that backpacking around different countries, meeting other travelers, and experiencing different cultures has been influential on her outlook on life.

Jessica is also an old soul who adores animals (especially cats) and appreciates some quality alone time. When she’s not working at the clinic, she’s spending time connecting with her family and friends, watching tv with her fur babies, thrift shopping, and finding new outlets to allow her creative juices to flow.
